Marketing Free Store Club Products on EBay and other places.

Have you really taken a long, hard look at your Free Store Club store?

You have been given the gift of your own Internet-based store that is a stand-alone avenue to create an instant income for yourself!

When have you EVER seen something for FREE that is a true opportunity?

There are members of the FSC that make hundreds and even thousands of dollars per month selling FSC products. One member that I know personally sold over 100 leather coats over the last Christmas Holiday!

E-Bay is a great place to get started. Here are some of the basics in starting your FSC Ebay business.

You don't have to be a rocket scientist to make money on Ebay. You also don't need to be a computer whiz. Having basic business knowledge would be fine, but you don't even need that, because Ebay makes it easy.

he most important thing to do is get the right information to your potential customers.

All you will need to start is a computer and access to the Internet. The first thing to do is log onto Ebay and familiarize yourself with the website. Read all the basic information about listing your products on the Ebay auction site.

Let Ebay teach you

Go to the Ebay website at: www.ebay.com, click on the link at the top of the page that says, "Sell." The system will walk you through the process to become a seller on Ebay. There is even a video to watch!

What to sell

Number two, figure out what you want to sell. This is the most important decision you will make.

If it's knives or cutlery, leather coats, luggage or whatever, go to Ebay and see who your competition is and how much their prices and products compare with what you want to sell.

If there are too many of one thing, or the prices are so low you won't make much money, find something else you might think will sell.

Chose where to list your products

Go to Ebay and find the category that most fits your products. Write down the ones that you feel are the best, then write down how many auctions in each category.

More than 1000 means it's an active category, and less than 1000 you might feel it's inactive. Categories with 3000 to 10,000 are the most active, so you might get more traffic.

Track your auctions

You can use a sheet of paper or a spread sheet to keep track of your auction statistics. This should include the item number, URL, listing date, listing price and category, along with room for comments.

When the auction is over, make note of the ending date, sell price, and your buyers contact information. If you have more than 10 on-line auctions per week, you should use some sort of tracking software that you can find by using a search engine. These are pretty low-priced, and worth it.

No one is going to buy, "A Pig in a Poke."

No, I'm not talking about selling livestock on Ebay! What I mean is no one is going to buy something if they can't see it.

Get the best picture you can of your product.
It's pretty simple to go into your FSC website and, "capture," the picture of your product(s) and move them to your auction page on Ebay.

If you don't know how to do this, ask someone you know that's pretty computer savvy. We ALL know, "one of those." (They usually have a pen holder in their shirt pocket and tape on their glasses.) JUST KIDDING!

What do people buy on Ebay?

Everything including the kitchen sink! Mark Cuban, (an eccentric billionaire) even bought a JET on Ebay! The most sales on Ebay are in the $50.00 range, so most of your products should be in that area.

How will you get paid?

You'll need to open a Pay Pal account so people can pay you through your Ebay site. You can also request your customers send you a money order. Taking checks is risky, so either one of those would work.

Make sure you deliver your products or goods in a timely manner, because people that buy on Ebay report to Ebay about the service they get from the sellers, and you don't want to get a bad reputation on Ebay! Just make sure you include the shipping cost in your info on your site!

They will also ask you for a credit card or bank information. If you don't want to give that information, you can become, "ID verified." This will all be explained to you in the "Sell," section. (Link at top of Ebay Home page.)

Bottom line, all you have to do is make up your mind you are going to do it, give yourself a little time to do your homework and get prepared, choose your products, get them on your Ebay auction area, and GO FOR IT!

Other brilliant ideas for selling FSC products

Flea Markets are a great place to market FSC products. It's pretty cheap to get a space, set up a table and a few clothing racks, bring something cool to drink, comfy chairs and a big umbrella to sit under, and get prepared to have a great time meeting lots of interesting people. Making a few hundred dollars or more in one day isn't such a bad thing either!

You could also have a yard/garage sale. An even better idea is to convince the neighbors on your block to have a weekend neighborhood yard sale. Most newspapers have FREE listings for yard sales. Make sure you put in your ad: "Many new items for sale." The Internet is full of ideas for creating a successful yard sale. Just another topic for your search engines.

Many FSC members also choose certain products such as the Leather goods, including coats, vests, purses and wallets, and Host "Home Parties." You can just buy a few products for display or to model for your guests, serve a few goodies and be prepared to take orders!

You can buy a book of blank receipts at your local Office Supply store. You might even pass out business cards with your FSC info, including your website, to your guests.

The BIG picture

By now you should be getting the BIG picture about the potential of the Free Store Club. I'm sure you want to maximize your opportunity, don't you?

If the answer is YES to that question, and if you haven't done it yet, go right to your Free Store Club website and UPGRADE!
